Upper Hutt Santa Parade - 2 December 2006
Hutt Valley Fire Police once again assisted the Upper Hutt City Council and NZ Police at the annual Upper Hutt Santa Parade. HVFP provided trained personnel and resources to the Council for the road closures required to make this event run safely and successfully. A good time was had by all members in attendance, with feedback from the Council being very positive. A BBQ for the Parade staff followed the event
Fireworks Fantastic - 28 October 2006
Memorial Park in Trentham was venue for a night of fun and Fireworks on the evening of 28 October. HVFP (with able assistance from the Upper Hutt Rural Fire Force) provided assistance to the organisers. Members provided assistance with Parking, Public Relations and Crowd Control during the fireworks event, and assisted the RFF who were available to deal with any fireworks-related trouble that may have arisen.
Unit AGM
Hutt Valley Fire Police had their Annual General Meeting on Monday 9 October 2006 at the Upper Hutt Police Station.
The AGM was well attended and we also welcomed Chief Fire Officer Peter Bean who addressed the unit.
