Upper Hutt Spring Festival
HVFP were amongst the New Zealand Fire Service personnel participating in the Upper Hutt Spring Festival on a sunny Saturday September 5, 2009.
Rimutaka 4928 is ideal for transporting Fire Safety kit.
Working on a shift rotation to cover the entire day, members of Hutt Valley Volunteer Fire Police assisted volunteers from Upper Hutt Volunteer Fire Brigade with a Fire Safety stall and provided members of the public with a chance to look over the UHVFB appliance, Trentham 481.
Kids seemed to love the Fire Safety play area. TREN481 in the background.
The Unit enjoys being a part of community events and is very happy to assist the Fire Service in its efforts to ensure that our key Fire Safety messages are heard.

Thanks to the guys (and girls) from both HVFP and UHVFB who helped on the day. By all accounts the display was quite successful and much fun was had by those who visited!
